About

VOX is an international series of buildings that seek to provide better physical, operational, and strategic infrastructure for civil society.

Civil society is as important as ever and must play a vital role in solving the social and planetary crises facing the world. Yet, it is under increasing pressure, financially and politically.

VOX was designed for civil society, by civil society. We develop houses, where everything – from the building itself, to the content of the lease agreement, and the way the community is operated – is optimized to deliver on the needs of local civil society organizations.

We envision a series of landmark buildings across European capitals that simultaneously create better conditions for their local sectors and serve as lighthouses that tell the story of civil society and engages the public in its work and values.

01

Cost-effectiveness
  • Lease terms designed for economic resilience

  • Direct lease model for lowest possible rent

  • Access to more and better functions and services made possible by cost-sharing

02

Tailored building design
  • Cost-free access to all the functions civil society needs: event spaces, volunteer lounges, maker spaces, A/V studios, and more

  • Modern and professional quality for a great working environment

  • Sustainability and design choices to match civil society values

03

Shared capacity building
  • A platform for re-thinking operational synergies across organizations to improve quality and lower costs

  • A strategic community for organizations, leaders, and staff to co-invest in joint programs and innovation

04

Icons for the impact of civil society
  • Large-scale, prominent buildings to create visibility for the work of civil society

  • A new destination for convening all three sectors

  • A hub for events hosted by charities and other civil actors
